CULTURAL  ACTIVITIES

Swami Vivekanand believed that man is a reservoir of infinite power and through proper education this power can be released for constructive purposes.

Swami Vivekanand’s philosophy of education has constituted the aim of V.E.S and the institution has been striving hard to fulfill this aim of All Round Development of students personality.

Culture means a particular form of intellectual expression, understanding and appreciation of art, literature and music. To fulfill this aim, we have our cultural wing “Vivekini”.  We are the only Polytechnic where students can learn Vocal, Harmonium, Guitar, Sitar, Flute, Violin, Tabla and Katthak free of cost.

TRADITIONAL DAY

In the lieu of Swami Vivekanand’s birth centenary, Traditional Day is held on 12^th January of every year. Every year we organize different themes like Elocution competition, Food Festival, Classical Folk Dance, Debate etc.

ANNUAL FUNCTION

Annual function is the last function of the year which is possibly the grandest event organized by the students in VESP.It is the day when our efforts through the year are recognized and rewarded.Students receive their prizes for stellar performances in the academics,athletics,sports and cultural activities from the esteemed chief guest.

To provide an entertaining backdrop to the entire ceremony the students also put up a musical play based on a specific theme.

The intra college annual cultural festival includes competition such as :

Ø     Classical Dance

Ø     Singing

Ø     Quiz

Ø     Skit

Ø     Miming

OTHER ACTIVITIES

To bring out and promote the talent of the students, the Institute promotes different activities.

·        To encourage the students towards the “Music”, we run Vocal, Tabla, Flute, Violin, Casio, Guitar, classes for our students without any fees.

·        Sanskrit classes are arranged for the desirous students without charging any fees.

·        Vedanta is the world’s foremost school of thought on self-management. It is a universal knowledge and its teachings are pertinent to people from all walks of life irrespective of their nationality, culture and religious background. The unique feature of VESP is that we train our students in “Vedanta”. Vedanta is a scientific technology for living life, which provides a specific frame of reference for clear thinking, effective decision making and potent actions. Thus, they can achieve success in any endeavor of life.Students can enjoy this source of eternal wisdom by attending Vedanta Classes which are arranged in Polytechnic.
