Vivekanand Education Society : Its Past and Present

The Unassuming Leadership of our Founder Member Late Shri. Hashuji Advani along with equally committed team members initiated the establishment of an educational institute drawing inspiration from the ideals of SWAMI VIVEKANAND.

Creation of the Society and its Background

The Vivekanand Education Society (VES) started its educational activities in about 1960 with only 256 students in a High School. Late Shri Hashuji Advani was the Founder Member of VES.

Facts regarding Registration under the Societies Registration Act as well as Bombay Public Trust Act.

The Society was registered under the Societies Registration Act on 29th September 1959. Under the Bombay Public Trust Act an Application was made on 16 th January 1963 and the same was registered on 6 th March 1963.

The Founding members of the society were :-

From a Tiny Seed to a Mighty Banyan Tree, such has been the growth of Vivekanand Education Society. Several Milestones attained, going from strength to strength, providing diverse educational opportunities from K.G. to P.G.

On the threshold of completing 50 years of glorious existence Today, the Society has over 16,000 students on the roll of Primary School, High School, Jr. College, Deg. College of Arts, Sci. and Commerce, Polytechnic & Engg. College, College for Management Studies and now College of Pharmacy. The Society continues to flourish over 49 years of its existence. Apart from educational activities, the Society also conducts many other programmes for the welfare of students and community.
